Bangladesh is a small country, but every district has something of its own: the sea in one, hills in another, a thousand-year-old monastery, a zamindar's palace or a haor somewhere else. How to plan travel to all 64 districts

Visiting every district is a long journey. A few simple rules make it easier to plan:

  1. Split by division: visit neighbouring districts of one division on one trip, such as Rajshahi–Natore–Bogura–Naogaon or Cumilla–Chandpur–Noakhali.
  2. Match the season: haors and waterfalls in the monsoon, hill treks and the sea in winter, the mango districts in June–July.
  3. Travel by night bus or train: travelling overnight saves your days for sightseeing. Check train times on the train schedule page.
  4. Keep count: mark each district you visit on your own map. You can also collect place stamps in the travel passport.
  5. Plan the trip: lay out which place you'll visit on which day in the Trip Planner.
