📜 How Jashore got its name
There are several theories about the name. One is that it comes from the Arabic 'jasr' (bridge), as there were many bridges across rivers here. Another says this region 'stole the glory (jash) of Gaur', hence 'Jashhar', which became Jashore.
How to get to Jashore
Jashore is about 190 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 4–5 hours.

- 🚆 By train: Benapole Express via the Padma Bridge rail link, fare ৳400–1,000.
