📜 How Netrokona got its name
There are various theories about the name. One popular view is that there was once a market called 'Naterkona' here, a name that changed over time into Netrokona.
How to get to Netrokona
Netrokona is about 160 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 4–5 hours.
- 🚌 By bus: Direct Durgapur/Birishiri buses from Mohakhali (Jinnat, Sarkar), fare ৳400–500; or via Netrokona.
- 🚆 By train: Haor Express/Mohua Commuter from Kamalapur to Netrokona or Mohanganj.
