History and background
Jasimuddin (1903–1976), the poet of 'Nakshi Kanthar Math' and 'Sojan Badiyar Ghat', was born at Tambulkhana in Faridpur but grew up in this family home at Ambikapur. The house on the bank of the Kumar is now a memorial museum; his grave is beside it under a pomegranate tree.

About 3 km by rickshaw/auto from Faridpur town.
Faridpur is about 120 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 2.5–3 hours (via the Padma Bridge).
