History and details
This huge mango tree stands near the Indian border in Harinmari village, Baliadangi upazila, Thakurgaon. Locals say it is about 200 years old. Its branches come down to the ground and rise again, so a single tree spreads like a giant umbrella over two to two and a half bighas.
It's called one of Asia's biggest mango trees. In season the one tree gives several tonnes (over 100 maunds by local count) of sweet Suryapuri mangoes. Visitors come all year, and the owner family charges an entry fee to look after the tree.

How to get to Suryapuri mango tree of Harinmari
At Harinmari in Baliadangi upazila.
Thakurgaon is about 400 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 8–9 hours.

- 🚆 By train: Panchagarh Express/Ekota/Drutojan to Thakurgaon Road.
Where to stay
The district town has basic and mid-range hotels (roughly ৳800–2,500). Government circuit houses and dak bungalows can be used with permission.
