History and background
A three-domed mosque in the Sultanate style built in the late 16th century in Sarail upazila. Next to it is a double grave surrounded by many legends. The 'Sagar Dighi' pond in front of the mosque is also old.
How to get to Arifail Mosque
In Sarail upazila; by CNG from town.
Brahmanbaria is about 110 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 2.5–3 hours.
- 🚌 By bus: Sylhet/Brahmanbaria buses from Sayedabad, fare ৳250–350.
- 🚆 By train: Chattogram/Sylhet-bound trains from Kamalapur to Brahmanbaria or Akhaura, fare ৳150–350.
Where to stay
The district town has basic and mid-range hotels (roughly ৳800–2,500). Government circuit houses and dak bungalows can be used with permission.
