History and background
A British-era zamindar house near the Indian border in Panchbibi upazila, built by the Lakma zamindars. You can see the two-storey building and the ruins of the elephant and horse stables.
How to get to Lakma Rajbari
In Panchbibi upazila.
Joypurhat is about 250 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 5–6 hours.
- 🚌 By bus: Joypurhat buses from Mohakhali/Gabtoli (Shyamoli, SR), fare ৳600–750.
- 🚆 By train: Nilsagar/Drutojan Express to Joypurhat station.

The district town has basic and mid-range hotels (roughly ৳800–2,500). Government circuit houses and dak bungalows can be used with permission.
