History and background
The painter Zainul Abedin (1914–1976) was a son of the Mymensingh region; his sketches of the 1943 famine made him famous. On the bank of the Old Brahmaputra a park bears his name, and the museum founded in 1975 holds his paintings and belongings.
How to get to Zainul Abedin Park and Museum
At Shankipara in the city, on the riverbank.
Mymensingh is about 120 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 3–3.5 hours.
