History and details
Dahagram-Angarpota is Bangladeshi territory surrounded on all sides by India's Cooch Behar. Under the 1974 border agreement Bangladesh gave South Berubari to India and in return got the right to use three bighas of Indian land to link Dahagram with the mainland.
The corridor opened late after many complications; in 1992 it opened for a few hours a day, and since 2011 it has been open 24 hours. The corridor is Indian sovereign territory, but Bangladeshis can cross without a passport.
Although the other enclaves were exchanged under the 2015 Land Boundary Agreement, Dahagram-Angarpota remains part of Bangladesh. Inside Dahagram you can feel the Tista River, border village life and the history of the enclaves.
