📜 How Brahmanbaria got its name

The story goes that in the Sultanate period a few Brahmin families came from Delhi and settled here. Over time 'Brahmins' homes' became Brahmanbaria.

How to get to Brahmanbaria

Brahmanbaria is about 110 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 2.5–3 hours.

  • 🚆 By train: Chattogram/Sylhet-bound trains from Kamalapur to Brahmanbaria or Akhaura, fare ৳150–350.
