History and background
At the Jajira end of the Padma Bridge, in the Naodoba area, are the toll plaza and huge approach road. From the riverbank you can see the line of the bridge's 41 spans. Since the bridge opened the area has quickly become a tourist spot.

Near the Jajira toll plaza after crossing the Padma Bridge.
Shariatpur is about 80 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 2 hours (via the Padma Bridge).
- 🚌 By bus: Shariatpur buses via the Padma Bridge from Gulistan/Jatrabari, fare ৳200–350.
- 🚢 By launch: Launch from Sadarghat to Sureshwar/Naria.
Where to stay
The district town has basic and mid-range hotels (roughly ৳800–2,500). Government circuit houses and dak bungalows can be used with permission.
