History and background
The country's largest and busiest land port; across the border is Petrapole in India. It is the main road route to Kolkata. Thousands of passengers and hundreds of trucks cross every day. A flag-lowering (retreat) ceremony of the two countries is held in the afternoon.
How to get to Benapole Land Port
About 38 km from Jashore.
Jashore is about 190 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 4–5 hours.

- 🚆 By train: Benapole Express via the Padma Bridge rail link, fare ৳400–1,000.
