Chini Mosque, Saidpur travel guide

History and background

In 1863 Haji Baqer Ali and Haji Muku first started the mosque in a tin shed; in 1920 it was rebuilt in brick and decorated with pieces of porcelain (chini-tikri), hence the name Chini Mosque. Colourful mosaics with flowers and moon-and-star patterns.

How to get to Chini Mosque, Saidpur

In Saidpur town.
