History and background

Rai Bahadur Banamali Roy, zamindar of Tarash, built this handsome building in Pabna town in the 19th century. With its Corinthian columns and big lion gate it is the town's most striking historic building.

The district town has basic and mid-range hotels (roughly ৳800–2,500). Government circuit houses and dak bungalows can be used with permission.
