History and background
Suchitra Sen (Rama Dasgupta, 1931–2014), the great heroine of Bengali cinema, spent her childhood in this house at Gopalpur, Pabna. After years of illegal occupation it was recovered and opened as a museum in 2017.

Pabna is about 160 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 4 hours.
- 🚌 By bus: Pabna Express, Shyamoli, Hanif from Gabtoli; fare ৳450–650.
- 🚆 By train: Dhalarchar Express to Pabna; or North Bengal trains to Ishwardi.
Where to stay
The district town has basic and mid-range hotels (roughly ৳800–2,500). Government circuit houses and dak bungalows can be used with permission.
