History and details
Around 2002 local businessman Joynal Abedin began planting shimul trees on the sandy land along the Jadukata River. The rows of trees have grown into a huge garden.
In Falgun the trees shed their leaves and only the red shimul flowers remain — the whole garden turns red, with a carpet of red flowers on the ground. Photographers and tourists come from all over the country, and the garden becomes one of the most-shared places on social media.
