History and background
This river coming down from Meghalaya is locally called the Rakti. In the dry season you see clear blue water and white sandbanks. Collecting sand and stone from the river is a big source of local livelihood.
How to get to Jadukata River
Right beside Barikka Tila.
Sunamganj is about 300 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 6–7 hours.
- 🚌 By bus: Sunamganj buses from Sayedabad/Mohakhali (Mamun, Shyamoli, Ena), non-AC ৳700–800.
- 🚗 By road: About 2 hours by bus from Sylhet to Sunamganj.
