History and background
An ancient pond of about 43 acres near the Indian border at Dhamoirhat, with about 264 hectares of sal forest around it, declared a national park in 2011. Lotuses and migratory birds in winter.
How to get to Altadighi National Park
In Dhamoirhat upazila.
Naogaon is about 250 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 5–6 hours.
- 🚌 By bus: Naogaon buses from Gabtoli/Mohakhali (Hanif, Shyamoli, SR), fare ৳600–750.
- 🚆 By train: Jamalganj station is closest for Paharpur.
