Tushbhandar Zamindar Bari travel guide

History and background

The house of a zamindar family founded in the 17th century at Tushbhandar, Kaliganj. Legend says the founder, Murari Dev Ghoshal, found treasure in a heap of husks (tush bhandar). The Kali temple and some buildings survive.

How to get to Tushbhandar Zamindar Bari

In Kaliganj upazila.

Lalmonirhat is about 340 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 7–8 hours.

• 🚆 By train: Lalmoni Express from Kamalapur, fare ৳500–1,400.
