History and background
One of the country's biggest natural hill forests, about 1,795 hectares, declared in 1982 and later expanded. Home to five species of squirrel, monkeys, langurs and many rare birds. Being remote, it's not crowded.
How to get to Rema-Kalenga Wildlife Sanctuary
From Chunarughat to Kalenga; the road is bad, a jeep is best.
Habiganj is about 170 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 3.5–4 hours.
- 🚌 By bus: Sylhet-bound or Habiganj buses from Sayedabad (Digonto, Agradut), fare ৳350–500.
- 🚆 By train: Sylhet-bound trains to Shaistaganj station, fare ৳250–700.
