History and background
Chapai Nawabganj is the country's 'mango capital', with miles of orchards in Shibganj, Bholahat and Gomastapur. Varieties include Fazli, Langra, Khirsapat (Himsagar), Gopalbhog and Ashwina. Kansat in Shibganj is the country's biggest mango market.

Chapai Nawabganj is about 300 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 6–7 hours.
