History and background
Near where the Padma and Jamuna meet, this was once the main ferry ghat to North and South Bengal. Since the Jamuna Bridge and Paturia Ghat opened it has become quieter, but it's still popular for river views and fresh fish.
How to get to Aricha Ghat
Direct by Aricha-bound bus from Gabtoli.
Manikganj is about 64 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 2 hours.

Where to stay
The district town has basic and mid-range hotels (roughly ৳800–2,500). Government circuit houses and dak bungalows can be used with permission.
