History and background
The popular writer and filmmaker Humayun Ahmed built this country retreat in 1987 and named it after his son Nuhash. His plays and films were shot here. He was buried under the litchi trees in 2012.
How to get to Nuhash Palli
Pirujali, about 20 km from Gazipur Chowrasta; by CNG.
Gazipur is about 37 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 1–2 hours.
- 🚌 By bus: Gazipur/Sreepur-bound buses from Mohakhali or Abdullahpur, fare ৳50–120.
- 🚆 By train: Local and intercity trains from Kamalapur to Joydebpur, fare ৳30–100.
- 🚗 By road: 1–2 hours by private car or microbus (depending on traffic).
