History and background
Built in 1582, in the reign of the Mughal emperor Akbar, by Mirza Murad Khan Qaqshal, son of Jawhar Ali Qaqshal. This three-domed mosque shows the meeting of Sultanate and Mughal architecture; its walls are about 6 ft thick.
How to get to Kherua Mosque
In Sherpur upazila; about 20 km from Bogura.
Bogura is about 200 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 4–5 hours.

- 🚆 By train: Lalmoni/Rangpur Express to Santahar or Bogura.
