History and background
A watch tower about 225 ft tall, built in 2013 in the centre of Char Fasson town and named after former deputy minister Abdullah Al Islam Jacob. From the top you can see the surrounding chars, rivers and green villages.
How to get to Jacob Watch Tower
In the centre of Char Fasson town.
Bhola is about 200 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 6–8 hours (by launch).
- 🚢 By launch: Launches from Sadarghat to Bhola/Ilisha, Char Fasson (Betua) and Monpura; deck ৳300–450, cabin ৳1,200–3,000.
- 🚌 By bus: Via Barishal, crossing the Laharhat ferry to Bhola.
