Jashoreshwari Kali Temple travel guide

History and background

This temple at Ishwaripur is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in Hindu belief. Raja Pratapaditya, one of the Baro Bhuiyans, is said to have restored it in the 16th century; his capital was in this area. India's Prime Minister visited the temple in 2021.

How to get to Jashoreshwari Kali Temple

In Shyamnagar upazila.

Satkhira is about 250 km from Dhaka; the journey takes 5–6 hours.
